Asiana Airlines Flight 214 crash claims third victim: 15-year-old Wipeng Liu dies of her injuries


Asiana Airlines Flight 214 has claimed its third victim. On Friday, 15-year-old Wipeng Liu died of her injuries at San Francisco General Hospital. The Chinese consulate has confirmed that Wipeng Liu was a Chinese national. Wipeng Liu had been in critical condition since the Asiana Airlines Flight 214 crash. Her family is asking that no further details are released about Wipeng Liu’s injuries and detailed circumstances of her death as the family needs time to grieve.

San Francisco General Hospital had received 67 patients from the Asiana Airlines Flight 214 crash. As of Friday, five adults and one child still remain at the hospital. Two of the adults remain in critical condition with spinal cord, abdominal trauma, road rash, and bone fractures.
